-Read the conversation and write the correct form of the verbs in the present simple.
-Use some adverbs of frequency in the present simple.

- The Ss also form communication skills and team cooperation with other members.

Activity 1: Grammar: The present simple tense * Aim: To give Ss practice in using the present simple tense in sentences. * Content: Choose the correct answer in the sentences. * Output: Use the present simple to complete the sentences. * Process - Have Ss do this exercise individually before they share their answers with their partners. Ask some Ss to read out their answers. Confirm the correct ones. T gives explanations if necessary. Key: 1.A 2.C 3. B 4. A 5.C L_ J - Have Ss read the Remember! box. Direct their attention to the present simple tense form for third person singular. Teacher provides or confirms the answers and leads in the grammar focus of the lesson: Positive S + V-inf/ V(s/es) + . Negative S + don’t/ doesn’t + V-inf + . Interrogative Do/ Does + S + V-inf + ? Answer Yes, S + do/does. No, S + don’t/ doesn’t. W/H questions W/H + do/does + S + V-inf + ? Notes Use do/don’t with: I, you, we, they and plural noun forms. Use does/ doesn’t with: she, he, it and singular noun forms. b. Activity 2: Practice * Aim: To help Ss practise using verbs in the present simple in sentences and in context. * Content: Write the correct form of the verb in the conversation.
- * Aim: To help Ss practise asking and answering questions about the topic of school, using the present simple tense and adverbs of frequency. * Content: Work in pairs, make questions, interview your partner. * Output: Ss can make question to the answers. * Process - Let Ss work on the Ex. 5, p. 10 in pairs. - Checks the answers by playing a game. - Divides students into 2 teams, 2 students in each team choose a set of questions (which are the questions 1-5 in Ex. 5, p. 10). Teacher may add more questions if necessary) then interview each other. The team with higher score is the winner. 10 points: you/ like/ your new school 20 points: Question 1: you/ often/ ride your bicycle/ to school Question 2: you/ sometimes/ study in the school library Question 3: your friends/ always/ go to school/ with you Question 4: you/ usually/ do homework/ after school 30 points: How often/ your mother/ pick you up/ school Answer key: 1.Do you like your new school? 2.Do you often ride your bicycle to school? 3.Do you sometimes study in the school library? 4.Do your friends usually go to school with you? 5.Do you usually do your homework after school? How often does your mother pick you up from school? 3.Consolidation -Consolidate what students have learnt in the lesson. 4. Homework -Make 5 sentences in the present simple tense, using adverbs of frequency. -Do exercises B4,6 page 5,6 (work book). -Prepare for Unit 1: Communication.
